Accredited Operations Professional Eligibility

The Uptime Institute's Accredited Operations Professional program is intended for graduates of the Accredited Operations Specialist or Accredited Tier Specialist programs who wish to advance their expertise and designation. The program provides advanced multiple-disciplinary concepts necessary for the operation of critical facilities based on the Uptime Institute Tier Standards criteria. This program is suited for critical facility operators and outside experts who support critical facilities.

Individuals who will benefit from the Accredited Operations Professional program are:

  • Consultants
  • Network Architects
  • Enterprise Architects

Successful completion of the Uptime Institute Accredited Operations Professional program, demonstrated through examination at the end of the course, will result in an Uptime Institute endorsement of the individual as an Accredited Operations Professional.

Accredited Operations Professional represents neither license nor permission to deliver a) Tier Certifications of designs, b) Tier Certifications of constructed environments, or c) Operational Sustainability ratings or Certifications.


Accredited Tier Professional Eligibility

The Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional program is intended for graduates of the Accredited Tier Designer or Accredited Tier Specialist programs who wish to advance their expertise and designation. The program provides advanced multiple-disciplinary concepts necessary to achieve project design objectives based on the Uptime Institute Tier Standards criteria. The curriculum crosses traditional engineering-discipline boundaries, thus will suit design professionals who are responsible for project delivery.

Individuals who will directly benefit from the Accredited Tier Professional program are:

  • Engineers-of-Record
  • Design-Build Team Senior Project Managers
  • Project Owners’ Senior Engineering Representative

Successful completion of the Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional program, demonstrated through examination at the end of the course, will result in an Uptime Institute endorsement of the individual as an Accredited Tier Professional.
